While going to school full time, I have worked for a total of three companies in my career so far. Firstly, I worked at Weingartz. This lawn and snow shop was founded in 1945. Weingartz started as a small feed shop and now has expanded to five major locations, scattered around Michigan (Utica, Ann Arbor, Cedar Springs, Clarkston, and Farmington Hills). The company has over 140 employees and is specialized in outdoor power equipment. I worked there from February 27th, 2012-February 10th, 2017, while I was there I started in the shipping and receiving department and moved my way up to being a switch board operator, cashier, and finally a customer service representative. Through this process I have learned many things, how to manage adequate stock levels, prepare in store or online orders, UPS, process monetary transactions and facilitate high level relationships with commercial and residential customers.
The next step I took was the leap from Weingartz to Serra Buick GMC Cadillac Kia. Serra was created in 1973 by Al Serra, within five years of opening it had reached Top Five dealership status in the United States and, in the process, fine-tuned a solid formula for growth and a passion for success. At the dealership, I started in Kia assisting the single advisor, some of my duties were portering vehicles, preforming multipoint inspections (MPIs), quoting out parts and services, and cashing out customers. Later on, I worked in Buick GMC Cadillac as an advisor, in this position I communicated with customers, advised required and recommended service, wrote up warranty and internal repairs for vehicles to confirm customer service index were met through GM standards. Finally, I worked in Serra's Loaner department, where I prepared loaner agreements, inspected vehicle returns, and maintained adequate insurance and plates for the fleet. I worked at Serra for a short amount of time but gained a lot of experience in the automotive field and in turn, developed an interest in the field. I worked at Serra from February 11th, 2017-Septemebr 16th, 2017 .
After gaining an interest in the automotive field I located an internship that I found to be very interesting. I began working at Comau LLC September 19th, 2017 and currently work here. Comau is a automation company ran out of Italy, it is owned by FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles). At Comau I am a Customer Care Specialist in After-sales in the Robotics department. So in this position, I go forward with the order placement, tracking and follow-up of robots and robotic spare parts to ensure timely purchasing deadlines and customer satisfaction. Aside from the office experience, Comau has allowed me to accompany trained field technicians out in the plants. For example we have traveled out to Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP) to preform campaigns on the automotive robots. By completing the upgrades, the campaigns will help our robots to have a longer lasting life, to best satisfy the customer.
